Hi guys, it’s been about two months of Meals Made East now and I know a few of you guys are new, so hi and welcome. I am so glad you are here! Since it’s been a little bit I wanted to share my purpose behind this newsletter! I recently did a poll on my Instagram and asked, if you haven’t subscribed, why? A lot of you said because there are tons of free resources out there and I completely agree. But what makes this different?
Well, I want you to think of it like a cookbook. Could you go through a cookbook and create all the recipes at once? Probably not, so I decided why not send out 1 quick recipe that I may put into a Sunday Dinner Cookbook. These recipes are all simple to make, perfect for a family, and have minimal dishes. I have intended these to be family meals you can have fun trying and sharing with your family on a slow Sunday. I hope that testing these new recipes can be so much fun, all while creating great memories in the kitchen and around the dinner table! ❤️
I hope that helps you understand my “why” for this newsletter and I really am so glad you guys are here! Now, lets get to it because this one is good!
I really don’t know how I have never thought to make this before! It was honestly SO fabulous. Think creamy white sauce, flavorful and juicy Italian seasoned chicken and lots and lots of cheese. Layer it all between lasagna noodles and voila the most simple yet delicious lasagna. Hands on cooking takes about 20 minutes and then we let the oven do all the work!
Truly the most perfect weeknight dinner! You could even make it ahead and just pop it in the oven when you’re ready for dinner!! I love to make my own sauces but of course you could purchase an alfredo sauce to make it even quicker and easier. Trader Joes and Rao’s both have great options. I just quickly grilled up some chicken breast I seasoned with Italian Spices but you could use rotisserie chicken and season with spices for a short cut. Finally, the best invention of all time, were using no boil lasagna noodle's.
Now, I read the other day on Half Baked Harvest’s page that she does NOT share recipes that aren’t pretty and we all know her recipes are actually all stunning so that makes sense. But I’m going to be real with y’all. I have two kids, I make dinner in about an hour at night and have about 5 minutes to photograph before my child is literally digging into whatever I’m making. Maybe when I get to 4 million followers all my pictures will be perfect or maybe that’s why she has 4 million followers :) so much to thing about lol.
However, as much as it pains be to share this not so perfect picture. I just don’t have the time or the money to recreate these dishes 4 times to get the perfect picture. So, no this one isn't my normal pretty dish but just trust me on this one, I promise it tastes so much better than it looks! I will 100% be making this one on repeat and I think you will too! Totally worth paying for that month subscription ;) hope you enjoy!!
