THANKSGIVING RECIPE ROUND UP
I cannot believe I am saying that we are already to Thanksgiving! To say this year went by quick is an understatement, i blame it on the two crazy kids I run around after daily. But with that said, I know you probably want to work smarter not harder on your thanksgiving recipe! I have put together a list of my old and new favorite recipes that are simple to throw together and are all absolutely fabulous! All recipes are linked in the caption!
I am going to round up all the recipes that I’ve shared on the blog that would be a perfect centerpiece to your holiday table! I’ve got you covered in the sides department! My personal favorite part of the day! My plate is full of all the sides, a lot of honey baked ham, and a couple bites of turkey! Anyone else not love the turkey?! I need to come up with a delicious recipe one day but for now, let someone else make the turkey and you come in clutch with all the things people really really want!
Take a look through all the categories and choose 1-2 from each and your dinner is complete! There are also some recipes that can be cooked a day or two before and just reheated the day of! That is my favorite way to do Thanksgiving or else I find myself sweating in the kitchen 20 minutes before I’m supposed to head to someone’s house. But, if you’re doing Thanksgiving at home this year create a list of recipes and cook 1 recipe a day freeze or refrigerate it and believe me your work will be cut in 1/2 on the day!!
I hope you all have a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving and of course I hope it is delicious! Now, lets get to it! As always, click the title to head straight to the recipe! Click on the links to be transferred to the recipe!
POTATOES
My personal favorite part of the day, and truly I don’t think you can have too many potatoes! I think a classic mashed is always a fan favorite, but if you want to spruce them up a bit the loaded potatoes are delicious! If you’re feeling like being a little more fancy this year go for the scalloped! But honestly, you can’t go wrong!! Just remember potatoes love salt. So add lots of salt and then add more
CREAMY CLASSIC MASHED POTATOES
PARMESAN THYME SCALLOPED POTATOES
TWICE BAKED POTATO CASSEROLE
GREENS
OK, greens we know are not my favorite thing but I may be biased but the way I make them with lots of cheese, bacon grease, cream, just tastes better! And its the holidays after all, we are all able to splurge so just go ahead and choose two of these because it’s going to be too hard to choose! Side note: the spinach would be a perfect make ahead dish!! Make it refrigerate it and pop it in the oven right before dinner!
CREAMED SPINACH
CREAMY SPINACH ARTICHOKE DIP
MAPLE BACON BRUSSELS SPROUTS
BREAD
Ok Ok, maybe the one we have all been waiting for! The bread.. carbs for me all day on Thanksgiving for sure!! As you may have heard I am relatively new to stuffing but wow it is 100% one of my favorite parts of Thanksgiving dinner and this sausage stuffing is OMG good! This may be a category where all 3 recipes may be necessary, but I’m not going to tell you what to do!
SAUSAGE, APPLE AND PECAN STUFFING
4 INGREDIENT GARLIC BUTTER ROLLS
JALAPENO CORNBREAD MUFFINS
CHEESY
I think we all need something super cheesy on the table and this is where the mac and cheese and/or the squash casserole comes into play! My husband loves a mac and cheese so trust me these are husband approved, and we will probably go with the baked mac and cheese, but if you’re a squash casserole type of person this one is bacon-y, cheesy, and crunchy!! So good and was a fan favorite last year! Finally, the IP mac and cheese is so quick it would be the best “no cook” recipe!
BAKED MAC AND CHEESE
INSTANT POT 3 CHEESE MAC AND CHEESE
SQUASH CASSEROLE
DESSERTS
What is your favorite dessert on thanksgiving?! Trent will go pumpkin pie (blahhh), me I LOVE some pecan pie, is it even thanksgiving if you don’t have a slice? I love it and the bourbon chocolate pecan pie is out of this world, so yeah, I’d choose that! But the cookies are also a winner in my book! Just make both
BOBBY’S CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES
BOURBON CHOCOLATE CHIP PECAN PIE
DRINKS
Maybe I was wrong! This is probably the most interesting section on the list! No matter if you’re at home alone or with a big crazy family drinks always make it better! I really don’t think you can go wrong with any of these! But my favorite is for sure the Pomegranate Martini! Looks so festive and it’s so incredibly easy to make and drink
CLASSIC COSMO
POMEGRANATE MARTINI
APPLE CIDER SMASH
CLASSIC MOSCOW MULE
PS. Next week I will be taking the week off to rest and be with family but will be back full force with a new recipe the following week! I hope you all have a safe, happy and delicious holiday!
